Hello! My name is Laurel Schreier and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I work with adult individuals (18+) and specialize in supporting those navigating life transitions (i.e. academic adjustment, relationship concerns), anxiety disorders, and chronic illness and/or chronic pain.
I use an integrative approach including attachment-based therapy, somatic interventions, and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). I have experience with modalities tailored to chronic health conditions, including CBT-CP and ACT for chronic pain, and also offer mindfulness and body-based practices rooted in my training as Registered Yoga Teacher (230 hours).
Within the therapeutic relationship I greatly value respect, transparency, curiosity, and kindness. Through these values I hope that I can provide a safe and collaborative environment in which clients can fully express their identities, perspectives, challenges, and goals.
I am currently licensed to practice in both Minnesota and Michigan.
