Amanda Barrios-Egan
MA, LPCC
Amanda is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who works with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, stress related to expected and unexpected life changes, and other mental health challenges. She has over 17 years of experience in the mental health field and has worked in a variety of environments.
Amanda works with clients who are struggling with the ways their concerns impact daily life and to help improve the way they function. She helps clients utilize short-term strategies that can provide immediate relief, while also examining long-standing patterns to help clients make permanent changes.
Amanda also uses Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy strategies to help clients learn how their thinking impacts the way they feel and act, and to learn strategies to change these thinking patterns. She incorporates other strategies including mindfulness, DBT, and motivational strategies to help meet each client’s unique needs.
Amanda has a special interest in working with individuals in the perinatal and postpartum phases, as well as those facing fertility struggles/ infertility or those who have experienced perinatal loss.
Amanda understands that it can be difficult to reach out for help, so she provides compassion, empathic, and non-judgmental care to each and every client.
