Making the decision to start therapy can be a difficult one, and I hope to make it feel a little more comfortable for you. I understand the importance of working collaboratively with you to develop insight, implement new skills, and in creating plans for you to reach your goals. I often see adults who are navigating concerns related to depression, bipolar disorders, anxiety, grief and loss, and other major life transitions. My hope for you is that therapy can be a place where you feel grounded in the midst of life's never-ending changes.
I rely on evidence -based practices such as motivational interviewing, skills from cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy, to guide therapy sessions. I am also licensed in drug and alcohol counseling and enjoy working with individuals affected by addiction in various ways. If you are curious about starting therapy, I would love to support you in that process.
