Megan Ruane, MA, LPCC, LADC

Megan Ruane is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor who provides psychotherapy to adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She has worked with clients ranging from inpatient hospital settings experiencing severe and persistent mental illness to an outpatient clinic setting with an Employee Assistance Program. Megan is experienced in working with individuals concerned with depression, anxiety, addictions, grief and loss, relationships, and adjustments to life.
Megan has the capability to provide short term, solution focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness techniques, or draw from an existential view. Megan supports her clients in identifying therapeutic goals that will lead to a deeper sense of self, healthy relationships, and internal confidence in handling life’s stressors. While Megan brings warmth and a sense of humor into each session, she will also challenge her clients to stretch themselves towards personal growth.
Megan received her bachelor's degree in legal studies from UW-Madison and her master’s degree from Hazelden’s Graduate School of Addiction Studies.
